Coach Alex Haskins has been an integral figure in the Atlanta lacrosse community since 2014, spanning various levels of the sport. Coach Haskins holds the position of full-time director for Thunder Lacrosse Club, overseeing coaching responsibilities for various levels and teams, lead goalie coach, as well as managing their training and events programs, including the 7v7 Reindeer Games and fall/summer camps and clinics.

Coach Haskins served as the lead community coach for six seasons at Starr’s Mill leading the Panthers to 5 straight GHSA Playoff appearances. Then as the Director of Lacrosse and Head Community Coach at North Atlanta High School for 4 years making one playoff appearance. Beginning in 2026 coach Alex will be coaching at Holy Innocents Episcopal School. In the fall of 2023, Coach Haskins was also hired as the Boys Director of Surge Lacrosse, the largest recreation program in the Southeast with over 500 kids playing. Coach Haskins has been developing youth players in Georgia for 9 years and continues to make waves in the city of Atlanta. Surge Lacrosse is the local metro Atlanta lacrosse feeder program for boys and girls in grades K-7.

Alex as born and raised near Saratoga Springs, New York, Coach Haskins was a multifaceted athlete at Ballston Spa High School, excelling in both football and lacrosse. A 3-year starting goalkeeper for the lacrosse team, he served as a captain for both sports. Prior to his coaching career, Coach Haskins attended NJCAA powerhouse Herkimer Community College and named conference goalie of the year before transferring to Greensboro College in the Southeast. During his two years at Greensboro College, he was a member of the Pride Lacrosse team, where he was the starting goalie and captain his senior year. After graduation, he spent 2 years coaching at his alma mater as the defensive coordinator.
