Pre-Season #5 Allatoona Buccaneers | 19-3 Record, Area 5 Champions, GHSA Final 4 | Head Coach: Jonanthan Wishon
The Buccaneers kick off the pre-season in the #5 spot in this year’s poll. Allatoona is fresh off a Final 4 appearance and 19 win season setting the record for most wins in program history in a single season, along with capturing the Area 5 championship. Looking back on memorable season the Buccaneers said goodbye to a number of talented seniors including All-State, & All-American Goalie Sean Byrne (Army), Defenseman Zach Stopher (Wingate), Hart Shaw, Nate Merandi and Adam Piejak. Allatoona looks to reload in the New Year with a number of high-level players returning including Sr Midfield Andrew Ferguson (Montevallo), Sr. Midfield Will Isley (Piedmont), Sr. Midfield Wyatt Ellerbee; Jr. Attack Morgan Madish; and 2024 class featuring Midfield Jack Frischmann, Defense Sawyer Smith and Attackman Brayden Fountain. The Buccaneers have circled a few games on their schedule of note in Area 5 highlight by Etowah and North Paulding. Allatoona will play host to The Turner Cockrell Lacrosse Classic on 3/19 featuring a number of great GHSA matchups. Be sure to check out the TCLC on March 19th!
