Pre-Season #3 Roswell Hornets | 15-5 Record, Area 2 Champions | Head Coach: Bryan Wallace
The Hornets snag the number three spot in the pre-season poll. Roswell finished as Area 2 champs in 2021. The talented group of seniors lost to graduation were lead by 1st Team All-State, All-American, Midfielder Evan Plunkett (Army), along with All-State, SSDM Thomas Karloy, Goalie Phillip Waller, Defense Wayne Morin, FO Nick Wzientek, Midfield Brayden Brown, Defense Brock Maddux, Attack Matt Walker. The 2022 campaign will feature a great slate of games including Buford, Lambert, Allatoona, Ponte Vedra (FL), Cannon School (NC), Johns Creek and Blessed Trinity. The Hornets return a deep roster of talented players. Attackman Sr. Scott Stickles; Jr. Alex Lobel 2nd Team All-State (Michigan); Jr. Hill Plunkett 3rd Team All-State (Army); Sr. Midfield Tyler Trygg; Sr. Midfield Whit Kessinger; Sr. Midfield Caleb Goodwin; Jr. SSDM Eli Goodwin; and at the Faceoff X, Jr.Myles Quandt (Towson). On Defense Sr. Jack Gotham, Sr. Sterling Hitchock, Sr. LSM Sam Provenzano & Sr. Goalies Mathias Peterson & Jimmy Burgess. Some key additions to this springs roster include, Jr Defense Stone Smith, Jr. LSM Sam Coffee, Jr. Midfield MP Murrieta, and a loaded 2024 class including Defense Carter Dowdy, SSDM Austin Edler, SSDM Peyton Cook, Attack Ezra Moore, Attack Luke Hicks, FO Kyle O’Neal. “We have put last season behind us and we are set for a challenging spring we have young roster that is eager to compete against some of the best programs in the southeast. Our returning players are motivated and have a big chip on their shoulder.”- Coach Wallace
